4th of July Parade

Since I just starting blogging I will be posting events that happen as they happen. But since I just started blogging and know I have some amazing pictures from last year I will ocassionaly throw in those pics and post about them. As you know my Father passed away on the 4th of July last year. The 4th of July used to be a favorite Holiday of mine. Every year we go to the Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade. Last June I had decided to be a stay at home Mom so I gave notice at the company I had worked for for 8 years. This was before our economy crash. They wanted me to stay so I was working two days a week. I decided to pursue what I have always loved, Photography. Here are some of my "Artistic" photos. Tell me, should I go pro??

Things I LOVE about HB

It's not summer but it sure feels like summer here in HB. Amanda went on a bike ride with her Dad on Saturday and went body surfing. He didn't have a camera with him but here are some shots straight from HB last summer. Hopefully this summer will be just as hot and any of my out of town family that want a cheap vacation, hotel Weber will be open for you! Reservations in advance please. :)

I love the way Amanda will jump full force into

the water without finding out how cold it is first!!

I love the way the water looks close to the sand.

I love to feed the Seagulls even though I am afraid

they might poop on me.

I love the sea bubbles.

I love watching Amanda Boogie Board even though

it scares me to death!

I love watching the surfers waiting for a wave

from the Pier.

I love Amanda and her cousins playing in the surf!

I love watching the birds that run along the sand.

Summer in HB Rocks!! Well, any warm day in HB rocks!! :)

The Burn Pictures

Okay, if this works right you will be viewing the pictures of my burn. I promise it is not that gross!

Beware of the microwave!! :)

Finally

Okay, I think I have finally figured this out. Thanks Shawndel for keeping the fire under me to get this going. :) I have wanted to blog for a long time but just couldn't figure it out. I would get frustrated and stop. But yesturday I had a horrible household accident and knew I had to figure this blog out to warn all of the women out there who use a microwave. So, as a busy mother sometimes does I bought a big microwaveable Lasagna from the store. Put that baby in for 15 minutes and as my daughter and I are doing homework hear the tell tell beep of "dinner ready!" So I open the door, start to pull off the plastic cover and ...... OOOWWWWWWWW!!!!! I screamed, sat on the floor, screamed more and looked at my fingers. Eww, really Eww and hurt worse than giving birth (thank you epidural!) I did not get burned from the sauce or the package it was in, I was burned by the STEAM that came out when I took the plastic off! The first thing Tony says to do is put butter on it. I remembered hearing that you should NOT do that. If you are ever in this situation, I am right. That is the Worst thing you can do for a burn. I put my hand in cold water on and off for three hours. Anytime I took my hand out my fingers felt like they were on fire!! I fell asleep at 10:00 and woke up to find my fingers didn't hurt as much as before but, well, you have to see for yourself! I will post pictures as soon as I get that part figured out. So ladies, please, as Tony told me he read the box the lasagna came in after my incident "Use EXTREME caution when removing the plastic cover from product after cooking"!! My first Blog entry typed one handed, Yeah!!
